The following terms and conditions (Agreement) govern all use of the Edgemont Enrichment Center LLC(collectively, the “EEC“)website and all content, services and products, including, but not limited to, listings or advertisements of lessons or instructors and the premium service for presenting potential program options to a user. The website is offered subject to your acceptance without modification of all of the terms and conditions contained herein and all other operating rules, policies (including, without limitation, EEC Privacy Policy as stated at the bottom of this page) and procedures that may be published from time to time on this site by EEC (collectively, the “Agreement”). Your agreement is with Edgemont Enrichment Center LLC (a limited liability company).

Please read this Agreement carefully before accessing or using the Website. By accessing or using any part of the Website, you agree to become bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. If these terms and conditions are considered an offer by ECC, acceptance is expressly limited to these terms.

A. General conditions.

  1. This Agreement exists as a service to aid students (“Student” or “Students”) using the website, email, or other channels in making contact with EEC.  
  2. Use of the Website is entirely at your own risk. You accept that EEC is not responsible or liable for any harm or damage that may occur as a result (although we of course aim to minimize any such risk). It is strongly recommended that both Students and instructors familiarize themselves with EEC safety recommendations before commencing a Tuition Arrangement.
  3. All users and visitors to the Website agree not to promote an external business, product or service to any user or visitor of the Website without the express permission of EEC.
  4. Any material or links you enter on the Website, or otherwise make (or allow any third party to make) available by means of the Website (any such material, “Content”), you are entirely responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, that Content. That is the case regardless of what form the Content takes, which includes, but is not limited to text, photo, video, audio, or code. By making Content available, you represent and warrant that your Content does not violate these terms.
  5. By submitting Content to EEC for inclusion on the Website, you grant EEC a world-wide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, adapt and publish the Content solely for the purpose of displaying, distributing, and promoting Private, Group Lessons and EEC in general.
  6. If you delete Content, EEC will use reasonable efforts to remove it from the Website, but you acknowledge that caching or references to the Content may not be made immediately unavailable.
  7. When you communicate with other users via the Website or otherwise use the functions of the Website, you may submit to us various material, such as the text of any comments and messages submitted by you via the Website (“User Content”). When we receive User Content from you, we may check whether it complies with these Terms. We may reject your User Content for any of the following reasons:
    • If it causes you to breach these Terms including any of your promises as set out in these Terms;
    • For any other reason in our reasonable discretion. Without limiting any of the representations or warranties herein, EEC has the right (though not the obligation) to, in EEC sole discretion:
    • Refuse or remove any content that, in EEC reasonable opinion, violates any EEC policy or is in any way harmful or objectionable; or
    • Terminate or deny access to and use of the Website to any individual or entity for any reason, in EEC sole discretion. EEC will have no obligation to provide a refund of any amounts previously paid.

B. Premium Service.

  1. The EEC operates during school days Monday – Friday from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
  2. The EEC program is offered in two semesters a year. First semester starts from September to December; Second semester is from January to June.  
  3. Language lessons offered to beginners and intermediate level students who is in Kindergarten to Grade 6.
  4. Student class replacement. The EEC reserves the right to adjust class placement based on optimum class size and will give priority to families based on tuition payment dates.
  5. Teaching materials. Instructor will choose appropriate teaching materials based on student’s Chinese language levels. The reference books could be 朗朗中文,新双双中文,美洲华语,马立平中文, etc. or utilized online video and audio resources.
  6. Website. You agree that you will comply with all relevant legal responsibilities when using the Website.

C. Registration

  1. Registration is semester based, parent may register students 2 or more days per week, or 6 or more hours  per week.
  2. Registration is accepted  on a first paid first served basis.
  3. Registration fee may be returned/refunded if the class is full or if cancelled due to course minimum not being met.

D. Tuition and Fees

  1. Parents have two options to make the payment for the semester, either a lump sum payment or monthly installment.
  2. Average monthly tuition installment when registered by Days per week.

      3. Average Monthly Tuition Payment When Registered by hours.

4. Registration Fee for each semester.

5. Material Fee, covers general classroom stationery for the semester; additional material fees that are used on arts and crafts will be collected by the instructors.

6. Discounts. Early registration discount; 5% sibling discount.

E. Tuition Payment.

  1. All payments are due two weeks before the semester starts.
  2. Late fee. Payments received after the deadline are subject to a $10.00 late fee per student.
  3. Payments can be made by check payable to Edgemont Enrichment; or through QuickPay/Zelle to eecasp@gmail.com. $35 fee will be charged for each returned check
  4. Refund for absences. We do not prorate for absences or by the hour. If needed, students can be withdrawn for one or more semesters at a time.
  5. If a student is withdrawn, and that the Program has a wait-list, the student WILL lose the spot. We do not hold spaces under any circumstances.

F. Class Transfer

  1. Class transfer is subject to the space availability in the destination class,  the request should be sent to eecasp@gmail.com.
  2. One free class transfer per student per semester. $10 fee will applied to each additional transfer.

G. Withdraws & Refunds

  1. Students who withdraw from the program before the semester start date will receive a 100% refund of tuition minus $50 processing fee;
  2. Students who withdraw from the program within two weeks from the start date will receive a 80% refund of remaining tuition minus $50 processing fee;
  3. Students who withdraw from the program within three  weeks from the start date will receive a 50%  refund of remaining tuition minus $50 processing fee;
  4. Students who withdraw from the program after three weeks from the start date will receive a no refund minus $50 processing fee;
  5. When the installment paid is not sufficient for the responsible tuition in any of above cases, you are obligated to pay off the remaining balance.
  6. No refunds will be issued for closings because of any unforeseen reasons.

H. Mid-Semester Enrollment and Withdrawal

  1. Mid-Semester Enrollment Student in the first half of the semester will pay full tuition for the semester even if registering in the middle of a semester.
  2. Registration in the second half of the semester will pay half of the tuition.
  3. Only new student registration pays prorated tuition.

I. Pickup Policy

  1. The Program runs until 6:30 p.m., students shall be picked up promptly
  2. Late pick-ups from the Program are not allowed. Should you be delayed, it is required that you make arrangements for another authorized person to pick up your child.
  3. Parents will have to sign a late slip at the time of pick-up.  A late fee of $10.00 for each 10 minutes will be charged. Late fee payments will be billed on next invoice.

J. Emergency Closing

  1. If the Program can not operate for any unforeseen reasons, the Program administration will notify you and you must make arrangements to pick up your student from the Program at that time.
  2. If Edgemont school district or Greenville Community Church calls an emergency closing or early dismissal, the Program will not operate for that day. The Program administration will notify you and you must make arrangements to pick up your student from the Program at that time.

K. Discipline and Expulsion Policy

  1. Unfortunately, there are reasons we have to expel a student from the Program either on a short term or permanent basis. We want you to know we will do everything possible to work with the family of the student in order to prevent this policy from being enforced. The following are reasons we may have to expel or suspend a student from the Program:
  2. Immediate Cause for Expulsion.
  • The student is at risk of causing serious injury to other students or himself/herself.
  • Parent threatens physical or intimidating actions toward staff members.
  • Parent exhibits verbal abuse to staff in front of enrolled students .

3. Parental Actions for Student’s Expulsion

  • Failure to pay/habitual lateness in payments.
  • Failure to complete required forms or documents.
  • Habitual tardiness when picking up your child.
  • Verbal abuse to staff.

4. Student’s Actions for Expulsion

  • Failure of student to adjust after a reasonable amount of time.
  • Uncontrollable tantrums/angry outbursts.
  • Ongoing physical or verbal abuse to staff or other students.

5. Schedule Of Expulsion

  • If after the remedial actions above have not worked, the student’s parent/guardian will be advised verbally and in writing about the student’s or parent’s behavior warranting an expulsion. An expulsion action is meant to be a period of time so that the parent/guardian may work on the student’s behavior or to come to an agreement with the Program.
  • The parent/guardian will be informed regarding the length of the expulsion period.
  • The parent/guardian will be informed about the expected behavioral changes required in order for the student or parent to return to the Program.

L. Disputes

  1. EEC can try to arbitrate any dispute arising between a student and an instructor, but offers no guarantees in this regard. Please contact us if you have a dispute that you would like us to attempt to arbitrate.
  2. Except to the extent applicable law, if any, provides otherwise, this Agreement, any access to or use of the EEC services will be governed by the New York State laws, and the proper venue for any disputes arising out of or relating to any of the same will be within the jurisdiction of the New York State legal system.

M. Advertisements

  1. EEC reserves the right to display advertisements, third party or otherwise, on any part of the Website.

N. Photo, Video Usage

  1. EEC reserves the right to take pictures of students/families participating in classroom, EEC sponsored events and posted on EEC websites, flyers, social media etc.
  2. If you do not want the photos or videos to be posted, your should send a written request to eecasp@gmail.com at the beginning of the semester.

O. Changes

  1. From time to time we update our services, meaning we sometimes have to change the legal terms under which our services are offered. If we make changes that are material, we will let you know by sending you an email or other communication before the changes take effect.
  2. The notice will designate a reasonable period of time after which the new Terms will take effect. If you disagree with our changes, then you should stop using EEC within the designated notice period.
  3. Your continued use of EEC will be subject to the new Terms. However, any dispute that arose before the changes shall be governed by the Terms (including the binding individual arbitration clause) that were in place when the dispute arose.

P. Termination

  1. All provisions of this Agreement which by their nature should survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.

Q. Limitation of Liability

  1. In no event will EEC, or its staffs or employees, be liable with respect to any subject matter of this agreement under any contract, negligence, strict liability or other legal or equitable theory for:
  • Any special, incidental or consequential damages;
  • The cost of procurement for substitute products or services;
  • For interruption of use or loss or corruption of data; or
  • For any amounts that exceed the fees paid by you to EEC under this agreement during the twelve (12) month period prior to the cause of action.

2. If you wish to terminate this Agreement or your EEC account (if you have one), you may simply discontinue using the Website.

3.EEC shall have no liability for any failure or delay due to matters beyond their reasonable control. The foregoing shall not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

R. General Representation and Warranty

  1. You represent and warrant that:
    • Your use of the website will be in strict accordance with EEC Privacy Policy below, with this Agreement and with all applicable laws and regulations (including without limitation any local laws or regulations in your country, state, city, or other governmental area, regarding online conduct and acceptable content, and including all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the United States or the country in which you reside);
    • Your use of the website will not infringe or misappropriate the intellectual property rights of any third party.

S. Indemnification

  1. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EEC, its respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all claims and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of your use of the Website, including but not limited to your violation of this Agreement.

T. Translation

  1. These Agreement was originally written in English. We may translate these Terms into other languages. In the event of a conflict between a translated version of this Agreements and the English version, the English version will control.

U. Miscellaneous

  1. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between EEC and you concerning the subject matter hereof, and they may only be modified by a written amendment signed by an authorized executive of EEC, or by the posting by EEC of a revised version.
  2. The prevailing party in any action or proceeding to enforce this Agreement shall be entitled to costs and legal fees.
  3. If any part of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, that part will be construed to reflect the parties’ original intent, and the remaining portions will remain in full force and effect. A waiver by either party of any term or condition of this Agreement or any breach thereof, in any one instance, will not waive such term or condition or any subsequent breach thereof.
  4. You may assign your rights under this Agreement to any party that consents to, and agrees to be bound by, its terms and conditions; EEC may assign its rights under this Agreement without condition. This Agreement will be binding upon and will inure to the benefit of the parties, their successors and permitted assigns.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critically important to us. Our fundamental policies are:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
  • We aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what’s visible to the public, kept private, and deleted.

Below is our privacy policy which incorporates these goals. If you have questions about deleting or correcting your personal data please contact EEC. It is EEC’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

A. Website Visitors

  1. Like most website operators, EEC collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.
  2. EEC’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how EEC visitors use its website.
  3. From time to time, EEC may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

B. Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

  1. Certain visitors to the website choose to interact with EEC in ways that require EEC to gather personally-identifying information. EEC collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with EEC.
  2. EEC does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

C. Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

  1. EEC discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on EEC behalf or to provide services available at EEC websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using EEC websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
  2. EEC will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, EEC discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a court order, subpoena or other governmental request, or when EEC believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Tutorly, third parties or the public at large.
  3. If you are a visitor or user of a EEC website and have supplied your email address, EEC may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with EEC and our services. If you send us a request (for example via an email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users.
  4. EEC takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

D. Cookies

  1. A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. EEC uses cookies to help EEC identify and track visitors, their usage of EEC websites, and their website access preferences.
  2. EEC visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using EEC websites, with the drawback that certain features of EEC websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

E. Business Transfers

  1. If EEC, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that EEC goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of EEC may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

F. Ads

  1. Ads appearing on any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by EEC and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Privacy Policy Changes

  1. Although most changes are likely to be minor, EEC may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in EEC sole discretion. EEC encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

 Terms and Conditions

Edgemont Enrichment Afternoon Program (the Program) reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any course if a minimum number of participants do not register within the specified time frame. In the event of a cancellation or re-scheduling by Edgemont Enrichment, all received checks will be returned within 7 days of the first day of the cancelled course. Every effort will be made to make sure that any cancellation or re-scheduling notifications are received by the registrant prior to the course. E-mail or WeChat notification will be the primary medium for these notifications unless the registrant did not include an email address or WeChat ID with the registration.

All registrations are accepted on a first paid first served basis. Registration fee may be returned/refunded if the class is full or if cancelled due to course minimum not being met.

Fee Structures*

  • Tuition

The Program has three semesters a year. Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters. Fall semester starts from September to December; Winter semester starts from January to March, and Spring semester starts from April to June. Parent may register students 2 or more days per week, or 6 or more hours  per week.

Registration and tuition are semester based, the total tuition fees will be billed by monthly average installments. Each installment payment are due two weeks before next month. The table below are tuition fees.

Tuition Payments

All installment payments are due two weeks before the first day of next month. Late payments are subject to a $10.00 late fee per student. Payments can be made by checks (payable to Edgemont Enrichment) send to Edgemont Enrichment’s mailing address, or Zelle to eecasp@gmail.com. We do not prorate for absences or by the hour. If needed, students can be withdrawn for one or more semesters at a time. If a student is withdrawn, and that the Program has a wait-list, the student WILL lose the spot. We do not hold spaces under any circumstances.


Cancellation Policy

All students are subject to this cancellation policy.

  • Students who drop or withdraw from courses anytime before before the first day of the semester will receive a 100% refund of tuition;
  • Students who drop or withdraw from courses by two weeks after the first day of the semester will receive a 80% refund of the dropped tuition;
  • Students who drop or withdraw from courses by end the month  will receive a 50% refund of the dropped tuition;
  • Students who drop or withdraw from courses after the first month of the semester will not receive any refund of tuition.

Pickup Policy

EEC will try our best to arrange carpool for parents, in case carpool is not available, commercial transportation services may be arranged with parent consents.

Kindergartners are required to be picked up from their classrooms,  due to limited resource, the parents should ask someone to pickup  the kindergartners from classroom and bring them to the designated pick-up location for carpool drivers to pickup. In case a student doesn’t show up at the meeting point by designed meeting time period, the parent will be notified. $1 per minute fine will be charged. The fine will be pooled with library late fees for purchasing more books.


Library Policy

Students currently enrolled in the Program are free to borrow two books a time for a week,  with the option of one week renew.  Late return fee is $0.5 per day per book.

Non EEC students may borrow two books a time for a fee of $1 each, with the option of one week renew. The above mentioned late return fees apply.

All fees will be pooled to the library’s book purchasing funds.


Class Transfer

Class transfer is subject to the space availability in the destination class,  parents should send the request to eecasp@gmail.com. in the case of exchange classes with other students, parents of both students should notify the Program Director who will reply after consulting the teachers.


Emergency School Closing

If Edgemont school district or Greenville Community Church calls an emergency closing, the Program will not operate for that day. The Program administration will notify you and you must make arrangements to pick up your student from the Program at that time.


Late Pick-Ups

Late pick-ups from the Program are not allowed. Should you be delayed, it is required that you make arrangements for another authorized person to pick up your child. The Program designated pickup time is 6:25pm – 6:30pm. A late fee of $10 will be charged for pickups between 6:30 pm – 6:40 pm. Late fee of $20 will be charged for every 10 minutes after 6:40 pm.
